Mozarts bitter-sweet
comedy of love and infidelity contains some of the most
ravishing music he ever wrote. It tells how the cynical and
scheming Don Alfonso persuades two dashing young army
officers to put their lovers steadfastness to the test in
order to win a bet. Cheerfully confident of success the
young men agree to do exactly as Don Alfonso says for one
day, at the end of which they will see

It will be performed, with
orchestral accompaniment, by soloists of London Opera
Productions, conducted by Robyn Sevastos, and will take
place in a marquee on the lawn at Great Comp.
All seating will be under
cover, and patrons are invited to bring picnic suppers to
eat in the beautiful Great Comp garden beforehand if the
weather is fine. A licensed bar will be available.
